If you choose to attend 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University, we guarantee your 91³Ô¹ÏÍø-funded scholarships and grants will not decrease if you maintain good academic standing, as defined in the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø catalog, during your continuous full-time four-year enrollment. 

 

First-Year Student Scholarships

Eligibility

  • All students who complete the Application for Admission are automatically considered for one of several need-blind scholarships; no separate application forms are required.
  • Criteria for the scholarship include difficulty of curriculum, grade point average, extracurricular activities, recommendations, quality of writing in the application, optional SAT or ACT test scores, and optional interview.
  • 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is 'test-optional'. You do not need to submit an SAT or ACT to be considered for merit scholarships.
  • Students offered a merit scholarship must be admitted to the University, enrolled in 12+ credits each term, and maintain good academic standing to guarantee continuous scholarship.  For more information, please refer to the .

Value of Offer

  • First-Year merit scholarships range from $19,500 - $30,000/ year and are guaranteed for four years (applies to entering freshman and first-year transfers entering with less than 30 semester credits).

Notification

Students are notified of their merit scholarship through an acceptance packet sent in the mail.

98% of applicants receive a merit scholarship based on the review of their application for admission.

 

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the Alumni Association Scholarship, you must be a child, grandchild, or sibling of a 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumnus. 
  • Scholarship awards are only applicable to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University Undergraduate studies; recipients must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per semester).

Eligibility

Awarded to outstanding high school graduates who demonstrate financial need and intend to enroll in the School of Business Administration at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø.

  • Intend to enroll at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø with a major in the School of Business Administration (including those interested in accounting)
  • Minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5
  • Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and displays demonstrated financial need.
    For undocumented students, submit WASFA or Needs Analysis Form

    Eligibility

    Acceptance into the Honors Program through an application and electronic portfolio as well as:

    • Intellectual achievement, leadership skills, self-expression, service to others, curiosity, creativity, commitment, and resilience
    • The Honors Program is test optional.  While there is no minimum GPA to be admitted to the program, current students in the program entered with a range of 3.61-4.0 unweighted GPA.

    $1,800/year plus waiver of fees for excess credits

    Eligibility

    The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Access Pledge is a full-tuition commitment providing grant and scholarship aid to cover the cost of tuition for first-year students throughout Washington state who qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. The Federal Pell Grant is a financial aid program awarded to students who show exceptional financial need. To be eligible, students must be admitted to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø as a first-year student, have a permanent address in the state of WA, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.* 

    • Student must be accepted to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø as first-year student*
    • Must have a permanent address in the state of WA
    • Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Washington Application for State Financial Aid ()*

    Eligibility

    • Be a Washington state resident*
    • Apply for admission to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University as first-year Applicant and meet 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University admission requirements. Priority consideration for students who apply to GU by the Early Action deadline of November 15. Final deadline to apply to GU is February 1. Nursing applicants must apply by the November 15 deadline. 
    • Submit the Unity Scholars Application by January 5th
    • Submit FAFSA / WASFA* as soon as it's available 
    • Have demonstrated financial need. Priority is given to students who family income is below 70% of Washington's median (e.g. $80,000 for a family of four).
    • Applications are reviewed holistically and many factors are taken into consideration, including academic performance, demonstrated resilience in the face of barriers or obstacles to pursuing an education, genuine commitment to, or a demonstrated record of, social justice activism, demonstrated involvement in cultural awareness groups, clubs, or activities, and engagement in leadership within their school, community, and/or family.   

      *Undocumented Washington residents are eligible to apply for Unity Scholars. Applicant must submit a WASFA.

    Transfer Student Scholarships

    Must have more than 30 semester or 45 quarter credits; does not apply to Running Start, dually-enrolled, or high school completion students who are earning an associate's degree and a high school diploma at the same time.

    International students may be considered for all transfer scholarships listed below. 

    Eligibility

    • All students who complete the are automatically considered for need-blind scholarships; no separate application forms are required.
    • Criteria for the scholarship include GPA and application strength (curriculum, extracurricular activities, recommendations, quality of the essay, optional SAT or ACT test scores, and optional admission interview).
    • 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is test-optional. You do not need to submit an SAT or ACT to be considered for merit scholarships.
    • Transfer merit scholarships
      • Students entering with 31-59 transfer credits are guaranteed scholarship for up to 6 semesters.
      • Students entering with 60+ transfer credits are guaranteed scholarship for up to 4 semesters.
      Students offered a merit scholarship must be accepted to the University, enrolled in 12+ credits each term, and maintain good academic standing to guarantee continuous scholarship. For more information, please refer to the . Currently enrolled students may inquire about scholarship extension through the Financial Aid Office.

    Additional External Scholarship Opportunities exist through many organizations within your community, and we encourage you to pursue them whenever possible. Contact your guidance counselor or check with service organizations such as Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, and Elks Club. Other possible sponsors include employers, parent's employers, trade associations, banks, credit unions, corporations, schools, and places of worship.

    Financial Aid

    • We encourage all applicants to submit a Financial Document to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University. Filing either the FAFSA, WASFA, or Needs Analysis Form may qualify students for other institutional, state, and/or federal funding. 
      • If you are a US Citizen or Green Card holder please file the  as soon as possible. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's Federal School Code is 003778.
      • If you are a Washington resident but are unable to file the FAFSA due to immigration status we encourage you to file the   as soon as possible. As a result of the Washington REAL Hope Act becoming law, applications for state need grants are now accepted. The WASFA is specifically for low-income, undocumented students that attended a Washington high school who are not able to file the FAFSA.
      • If your immigration status does not allow you to file the FAFSA and you do not live in Washington State, we encourage you to file the  and submit it to: finaid@gonzaga.edu. This may qualify you for additional 91³Ô¹ÏÍø financial aid. The Needs Analysis Form only needs to be completed once during a student’s enrollment. 
    • The FAFSA/WASFA is typically available in December.
