Additional Resources

Additional Resources for Undergraduates

Parent Plus Loan

Families looking for additional financing often borrow from the Parent PLUS Loan program. This is a federal loan backed by the US Department of Education. Interest rates are fixed, and payment is not required until the student graduates (or drops below half time enrollment status). Parents can apply at www.studentaid.gov.

Private Loans

Some families prefer for loans to remain in the student’s name. In this case, a private/alternative loan may be a good fit. Interest rates and payment options vary from lender to lender, so be sure to shop around. Be advised that student borrowers will likely need a cosigner. We do not make recommendations for private lenders, however, you can find a list of lenders who have disbursed at least one private loan to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University students within the last three academic years. You may select ANY lender you wish (whether it is on the list or not) without penalty. To apply, contact lenders directly.

91³Ô¹ÏÍø Scholarships

Incoming freshmen will apply for 91³Ô¹ÏÍø scholarships during the Admissions process. Scholarships available can be found HERE. The application deadline for these additional funds is January 1st.

Outside scholarships can be great resources for students. Look in your community to see if there may be any available to you. We recommend starting with banks, credit unions, service organizations, churches, and parents’ employers or our you can search our: Outside Scholarship Search Engine

Payment Plans

91³Ô¹ÏÍø offers an interest-free 4 month installment (per semester) payment plan to families. Monthly payments can be made by check, or online via our CASHNet portal.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

A growing number of electric vehicles are being driven by students and employees and in support of reducing our campus reliance on fossil fuels, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University now offers two electric vehicle charging stations—in the BARC and behind the Crosby House.

Housing &

Consider your options for housing and a meal plan. Some dorms are less expensive than others, and choosing to live with a roommate, rather than paying more for a single room could save you thousands of dollars. Commuting students have the option of flexible meal plans. If you live off campus and are interested in on-campus dining, check out your many options with  .

Textbooks can represent a significant expense for many students. Make sure you are utilizing all your options from checking the library to see if they have a copy of the textbooks you need. Foley Library offers semester long check outs. Additionally, be sure to check in with the Zagshop to see what used and rental options are available.
