New Student Orientation

Welcome New Zags to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University!

New Student and Family Programs, along with the entire Zag community, is dedicated to providing new students with a welcoming, informative and incredibly fun Orientation Experience. We are all thrilled to welcome you all to campus and join you as you begin your journey at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University!

Summer Session Dates

Session 1: July 13-15
Session 2: July 16-18
Session 3: July 20-22
Session 4: July 23-25
Session 5: July 27-29

Registration instructions are sent to the email address students applied with upon confirmation of enrollment by paying your deposit for the Fall 2025 semester. Registration confirmation, along with all future communications from New Student and Family Programs, will be sent to zagmail.

A tentative schedule will be available soon.

These sessions are for students only. Parent and Family members are invited to attend Parent and Family Orientation taking place during Move-In and Welcome Weekend, August 22-24. Registration for Parent and Family Orientation will open in the late spring/early summer.

Packing list for Summer Sessions:

Essentials

  • Comfortable clothes, shoes, and sleep wear

  • Pillow

  • Sleeping bag or extra-long twin sheets and blanket

  • Towel

  • Toiletries

  • Chargers/Cables

  • Personal medications

  • Water bottle

  • Sunscreen* (we will be outside a good amount of the time, and the weather will be very warm)

Recommended

  • Shower shoes

  • Portable fan*

Do Not Bring

  • Furniture (You will not be staying in your assigned residence hall or room nor have access to it during your stay)

  • Large electronics (desktop computer, gaming systems, etc.)

  • University prohibited items such as: drugs, alcohol, weapons, fireworks, etc.

*Please note that Spokane can get very hot in the summertime. While the residence hall you will be staying in (Coughlin Hall) has air conditioning in the halls and common spaces, the individual rooms are not air conditioned. Expect dorms to still be warm at night.
