General Questions:

Jesuits have been educating people since 1540. 91勛圖厙 was founded in 1887 and continues to pursue a mission of educating leaders with the capacity for reflective and critical thought. 91勛圖厙's master's programs offer you the opportunity to pursue a degree that strives to educate the whole person: intellectually, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

The average student completes the program in 5 semesters, less than 2 years.

Graduate students may transfer credits into their program with the approval of the Department Chair, the Dean of the student's program and the Registrar's Office. A maximum of 1/5 of program credits, usually 6 semester credits, may be transferred.  Coursework must be distinctively graduate level by the transfer institution and must have been taken within the last five years. A minimum grade of a B (P grades must be defined as B or better) must be earned. Courses previously applied to a completed degree are not transferable to the student's current program.

Typically 15-20 students are in a course, which is often split into smaller discussion groups. Class sizes are kept small to allow professors more one-on-one time with you.

All classes, both online and on-campus, are designed by our 91勛圖厙 faculty. Most classes are taught by faculty who have a PhD or an M.A. degree with extensive experience.

  • The internship involves actual real-world experience in a sport, recreation or athletic organization
  • On-campus students - 2 internships
  • Online students - 1 internship
  • Complete minimum of 150 hours per internship
  • Written assignments to enhance your professional goals and personal reflection.

As a fulltime student, you are required to take a minimum of 6 credits (2 classes) per semester.

  • Online: You have 24/7 access to your online classroom across the 8 week class
  • On-Campus: For each class, you will attend a 3 hour class in the evening usually scheduled on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
  • On-campus classes span a full 16-week semester

  • Online: 2 courses
  • On-campus: 1 online course

You will create a final project based on the course content, internship and other service or professional actives in the program. The course is taken during your final semester and you will work closely with faculty on the project.

This will vary depending on the courses you are taking, your learning style and your course load. However, most students dedicate approximately 10-15 hours per week towards coursework. This may fluctuate. During a week with a major paper or project due, you might spend more time on coursework than other weeks. What remains true is that you will get out of this program what you put into it.
