EDPE 594 P-1: Italian Sports and Culture
Dr. Marco Bracci
Sport plays a relevant role in our contemporary societies in cultural, social and economic aspects. It is a strategic “cultural” tool by which individuals may express themselves, build and redefine their personal identity. So that, dealing with sport means studying human beings that live in our complex world. The aim of the course is to study the close relationship between sports and culture in Italy, with a focus on Pistoia and the role played by Pistoia Basket. In particular, students will deal with the macro topic “The socio-cultural and identity value of Pistoia Basket on the territory”.
