Student Research

Mathematics is a very active field. New areas of study are constantly opening up with many unanswered questions. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students have collaborated with our mathematics professors on research projects that aim to answer some of these questions. This gives students an opportunity to apply the math they learn in the classroom, work on open-ended questions, and learn how mathematicians approach difficult problems. The results of some of these research projects have been presented at national meetings and published in refereed mathematics journals. Students have used their research experiences to get into graduate schools and find employment in exciting industries.
