Opportunities & Involvement

Greater Understanding of the World

Mathematics is a rich and diverse field. The department encourages students to get to know one another, to support one another, and to pursue the common goal of a greater understanding of the world around us.

Activities and Events

The 91³Ô¹ÏÍø mathematics department hosts numerous activities throughout the year including preparation for the Putnam mathematical competition, activities for undergraduate women in mathematics, and a periodic research level seminar (colloquia). 91³Ô¹ÏÍø is also a proud member of Pi Mu Epsilon and schedules talks and activities for members of our local chapter, Washington Epsilon.

Community Outreach

We reach out to our local community by offering a free weekend math tutoring program to local elementary, middle-school, and high-school students. If you are interested in helping us with this tutoring program, click here.
