Reserve Assistant Professor of Military Science
MAJ Jason Baggott is originally from Dallas, TX, and is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology while serving in the Corps of Cadets. He subsequently earned his Master of Business Administration at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University after transitioning from Army active duty to the U.S. Army Reserves.
MAJ Baggott commissioned in 2009 as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery branch. His military education includes the Basic Airborne Course, Jumpmaster School, Combatives Level 1, Field Artillery Basic Officer Leaders Course, Field Artillery Captains Career Course, Commanders/First Sergeant Course, Joint Fires Observer Course, Precision Fires Course, and Common Faculty-Development Instructor Course.
MAJ Baggott was initially stationed at Joint Base Lewis McChord within 4th Brigade 2nd Infantry Division. While in this unit, he participated in one deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XIII. He completed his Battery Command at Fort Liberty, NC (formally known as Fort Bragg) within the prestigious 2nd Brigade 82nd Airborne Division. After Battery Command MAJ Baggott came to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University in 2017 as an APMS (Assistant Professor of Military Science). He transitioned to the U.S. Army Reserves in 2019 and continued to serve in the same position and capacity. Some of his awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (one oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (two oak leaf clusters), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and German Armed Forces Badge (GAFB) for Military Proficiency (Gold).
As a civilian, MAJ Baggott is an Operations Manager for Engie Impact. He oversees 16 Client Representatives who work to fulfill the needs of clients regarding bill payments for utility, telecom, and waste invoices while supporting their strategic goals to reduce their carbon footprint and energy emissions. He is the longest serving cadre within 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Army ROTC who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
