Join the Council
Participate in the Council on Equity Inclusion and Intercultural Awareness. Visit the Council website for information on membership and how to get involved at the committee level
Join IMPACT (Intercultural and Multicultural Professionals Affecting Change Together)
IMPACT is an organization for faculty and staff of color and their allies, to support members who are part of underrepresented groups on campus. Luncheon events range from speakers on campus to conversations on current topics. Contact the Office of the Associate Academic Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer to be added to the listserv. Join the Colleagues of Color Workforce Affinity Group
Established in June 2017, this group provides support and identifies ways to support the University’s commitment to the dignity of all staff and faculty working at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University and cultivates a campus climate that encourages the recruitment and retention of historically underrepresented applicants and employees. Join the Productive Discomfort Faculty Affinity Group
Offered by the Center for Teaching and Advising (CTA), the Productive Discomfort Faculty Affinity Group offers professional development programs about teaching and learning with a culturally-inclusive lens.
Attend Campus Events
Join us for annual campus events that focus on issues of diversity:
- International Day of Tolerance: This community event—sponsored by Diversity, Inclusion, Community & Equity—occurs every fall semester
- Diversity Monologues: Held each spring semester, this event is an avenue for Zags to express their individuality in a way that inherently promotes a cultural community
- Take Back the Night: Held annually, the goal of this event is to create safe communities and respectful relationships through awareness events and initiatives.
Participate in Study Abroad
Lead or assist with a study abroad or domestic study trip to gain experience and insight into how people live in other parts of the world.
Become an Ally
Learn what it means to be an ally to the LGBTQ+ community by completing Safe Space and attending an Out to Lunch with Allies.
Take part in an Intergroup Dialogue (IGD)
Led by trained facilitators, Intergroup Dialogues are small group discussions that explore social group identity, conflict, community, and social justice over ten weeks.
