SUBJ: | Specific Campus Facilities Open Access: Days and Hours |
DATE: | August 23, 2021 |
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ceasing of campus operations in March, 2020 brought with it the need to secure all campus buildings, 24 hours per day, to restrict access to only those with permission.
With the full return to campus operations for Fall Semester 2021, we will be using a phased approach to campus facilities access. Residence halls and many academic and special-use buildings will remain locked and accessible only by key-card. However, effective today, certain facilities will be open and accessible to the public during specified timeframes. This access may change depending upon health and safety concerns. Here are those facilities, and open times:

Hemmingson Center | Mon-Fri | 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. |

Sundays | 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Mail Services | Mon-Fri | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. |
Chastek Library | No public hours currently; contact the Library for access

Please note:
- Enrolled students who have submitted vaccination status through Medicat will be given 24-hour key-card access to most campus buildings. However, students living on campus are only given access to the residence facility to which they are assigned.
- Faculty and Staff will have access 24-hour access to most University buildings, except residence halls; only those staff and faculty assigned to residences will have access.
Face Coverings
Everyone is reminded that the University previously issued policy regarding wearing of masks indoors in congregate settings. Secretary of Health Shah’s “Face Coverings – Statewide” is in effect as of today and requires the use of face coverings in most indoor settings where people gather (please see the document for specifics).
