Important Message to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Students & Families: COVID-19 Notice & Acknowledgment Request

August 12, 2020

Dear Students and Families,

Greetings from campus!  We are working hard to prepare for the upcoming semester and want to provide you with some important information in advance of beginning the new academic year.  We recognize that there is much uncertainty and anxiety around what living and working on or around campus will be like this Fall, but we want to assure you that our staff and faculty have been working hard to create an environment that is supportive of your health and welfare, as well as your academic success.

Recently, you should have received via email our Student Arrival & Return to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Guide, a publication that outlines the protocols and procedures for maintaining as healthy a campus as possible in the face of COVID-19. If you have not seen or received the Guide, please visit
this link.

With your health, welfare, and safety as our first priority, we have created a COVID-19 Notice & Acknowledgment of Student Risk (found in the last few pages of the Guide). It is imperative that you review this section and acknowledge that in attending 91³Ô¹ÏÍø this fall, we are asking you to assume certain responsibilities that are focused on decreasing COVID-19 community spread.

Every member of our University community is expected to understand, adopt, and consistently practice the disease-mitigation behaviors outlined in the Guide. The health and well-being of our campus community depend on all of us doing our very best to protect ourselves, each other, and members of the broader community from contracting COVID-19.

Please click
here to watch a video that outlines some of the steps you need to take to show your personal commitment to this effort.

As the start of the new year draws closer, I want to thank all of you for your understanding, your support, and your commitment to what it means to be a member of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Community during these challenging times.  Remember, we are all in this together, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely yours,

Thayne M. McCulloh, D.Phil.
