Know the Laws
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) mission is to promote public safety and trust through fair administration and enforcement of liquor, cannabis, tobacco, and vapor laws. The WLSCB website provides resources related to alcohol and drug laws in Washington.
Restorative Practices
University of San Diego Center for Restorative Justice
The University of San Diego Center for Restorative Justice conducts research, teaching, training, and technical assistance for restorative justice projects in schools, universities, communities, and the criminal justice system. Additionally, the Restorative Justice Network of Catholic Colleges recognizes the alignment of the philosophy of restorative justice and the guiding ideals of Catholic Social Teaching and connects Catholic colleges implementing restorative practices.

Free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
Restorative Justice and Practice: Emergence of a Social Movement is a course offered by Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of restorative justice, widely regarded as one of the most important innovations in modern justice practice. Drawing particularly on the experience of New Zealand, it traces how restorative justice has grown from small beginnings into a wider social movement for change across all sectors of society, including schools, families, workplaces and community agencies. This course is for anyone committed to a more just, compassionate and peaceful world. It will be of particular interest to justice professionals, educationists, social workers, community activists, conflict practitioners and policymakers.

- What restorative justice is and why it is such a significant development in recent criminal justice thought and practice
- How restorative justice emerged and spread around the world, and what the evidence is that it works

Conflict Resolution for College Students is a course offered by Conflict Resolution Services at the Student Resolution Center at Colorado State University. Conflicts with roommates, professors, classmates, coworkers, and club members are a common part of the college experience. This interactive Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is designed to help you successfully manage the interpersonal disputes you encounter during your time as a student. You will learn about common causes of conflict and explore challenging situations that students regularly encounter. Additionally, you’ll gain increased awareness of how you tend to respond to conflict, and learn effective dispute management and communication skills.
This free online course is aimed to help college students to:
- Identify factors that escalate and deescalate conflicts.
- Identify skills to help manage interpersonal conflicts.
- Recall resources for conflict management and procedural assistance at Colorado State University. (Note, although some course content covers services at CSU, you do not have to be a CSU student to take this course).

Noise Disturbances in the City of Spokane and Spokane County
The City of Spokane Municipal Code includes information that students living off-campus might find useful related to Chronic Nuisance Properties (10.08A) and Noise Control (10.08D). Spokane County Municipal Code also includes information related to Noise Disturbances (6.12). Spokane County has developed a document with information about Noise Disturbances in Spokane County and how to document and report noise disturbances.
