Sustainability Department:
The Director of Sustainability is responsible for overseeing the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Green Fund, running Green Fund Council, and implementing sustainable programming on campus.
Green Fund is a sum of money set aside by a portion of the Sustainability Fee to fund student-led sustainability or environmental projects on campus or in the Spokane community. Student applications for funding are reviewed 4 times per academic year by the Green Fund Council, who allocates funding for eligible projects. These projects propose opportunities to enhance sustainability in 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University's campus operations.
Green Fund Council is comprised of 13 students:
- GSBA Director of Sustainability
- GSBA Treasurer
- 3 GSBA Senators
- 3 Undergraduate Students
- 1 Graduate Student
- Residence Hall Association Director of Sustainability
- Representative from a 91³Ô¹ÏÍø-recognized environmental club

Green Fund is a great example of Zag's commitment to sustainability and has contributed to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's 32 ranking in "Green Colleges" by the Princeton Review.
