Processing: Staff time, both at Foley and our partner libraries, is involved in processing requests. Requests may not be processed on weekends or holidays.
Hold and Summit Request Limits: We kindly ask that you limit your total hold and Summit requests to 50 per month. To ensure efficient processing, please be familiar with patron checkout limits outlined in the Foley Library Borrowing Policy.
ILL Request Limits: Patrons can have 50 active ILL requests at a time, for more information please see the ILL Borrowing Policy

Hold Requests

Material that is checked out may be requested for hold when it is returned. Borrowers may place a hold on an item that is checked out to someone else. The person who has the item will be unable to renew beyond the set due date.

After the item is returned it will be held at the Circulation Desk and the requestor will be notified. Items not picked up within seven days are returned to the shelf.

Summit Requests

If an item owned by Foley Library is checked out or unavailable, borrowers may place a Summit Request for that materials to be sent from a consortia partner library. To place a Summit request, search for the title from the library's homepage, click on the title of the book, select "sign in," and then select "Request via Summit."

Placing Hold Requests

From the library’s homepage search for your book using the box labeled “Search books, articles, & More.” Click on the title of your book, select “sign in,” and finally select “Request 91勛圖厙 Item.”

Alternately, library staff at the Check Out Desk can show you how to place a hold and assist with questions.
