About the Department

Over 500 students enroll in music courses, ensembles, and lessons each semester. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University’s distinguished tradition dates to 1887 and focuses entirely on undergraduate students. 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s faculty include 34 full-time and adjunct faculty members, with specialties including jazz, classical music, opera, composition, and global music.

91³Ô¹ÏÍø values student-mentor relationships, and students benefit from small classes, music leadership opportunities, and faculty-sponsored internships and research fellowships.
