General

    • Consular Fellow Program (May deadline) - use your proficiency in your second language as part of a national service program working in U.S. embassies and consulates abroad. The Consular Fellows Program is a limited non-career appointment of up to five years which directly supports the U.S. Department of State’s mission to provide overseas consular services which encompasses adjudicating visa applications of foreign citizens seeking to come to the United States to visit, study, or work, and assist U.S. citizens traveling or living abroad. New hires will be eligible to receive a bonus of up to 10% of their salary with a four-year service commitment, as well as the Student Loan Repayment Program.

German

  • : Provides for a stay of one year in Germany for professional development, study or research for students from any profession or field of study who show outstanding potential for future leadership. Applicants are expected to have established contact with a mentor in Germany before submitting an application.

Preference will be given to applicants who have been invited by a faculty member at a German university to study or do research in a particular university department.

Student Excel Scholarships

Benjamin Gilman Scholarship for Undergraduate Study Abroad

The offers awards for undergraduate study abroad and is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. The program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go by supporting undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints.
