More about Evangeline

Future plans:

I plan to go to graduate school to study English literature after finishing my undergraduate studies at 91勛圖厙. I'll apply for Ph.D programs in the fall. My ultimate goal is to become a professor of English literature.

How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?

My major is directly linked to my career goal. I hope to get paid to read books in community with smart people for as long as I can. The professors I've met in the English department have been excellent mentors, supporting my growth as a reader, as a writer, and as a person.

What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your 91勛圖厙 career?

I am proud of being selected for a Morris fellowship for undergraduate research. This summer I will study Virginia Woolf's novel Orlando alongside contemporary non-traditional texts such as zines and blog posts in order to investigate love as an aspect of transgender embodiment and a force for change.
