Future plans:

I got offered a position as a 7th grade life science teacher in Thornton, CO. I will return to CO after graduation and prepare for my first year teaching. I am excited to meet my students and give them opportunities to fall in love with science!

How has your major contributed to your professional or personal development?

My passion for science inquiry grew throughout my experiences in my biology major classes during my time at GU. My favorite aspect of science is collaboration. Witnessing and guiding others to engage with science has ignited my passion for inquiry even more as a student teacher at Rogers High School.

What has been your proudest or most significant accomplishment during your 91³Ô¹ÏÍø career?

My student teaching experience has been my proudest moment while at GU. Student teaching is a big step from the smaller placements that we are in prior to the full time semester, so it is a scary task to throw yourself into. I believe that I embraced the uncertainty of the semester and put myself out there to grow as an individual and educator. I am really proud of my growth.
