What Benjamin's Nominators from the Department of Mathematics said...
Benjamin Lombardi, majoring in applied mathematics, has been an outstanding student in all of his mathematical coursework and has distinguished himself from his peers by exhibiting a voracious appetite for mathematical knowledge. His chosen course of study required him to complete 16 credits of mathematics coursework at the 400-level. By the time he completes his final semester at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø he will have completed an astounding 43 credits of such coursework. Ben has also been an active participant in undergraduate research projects presenting his results at various conferences including the meeting of the Pacific Northwest Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics where he won a 2nd place award for his poster in May 2022, a remarkable achievement in that award winners at this conference are typically graduate students.
