Global Engagement Funds

The  provides the following funding to help meet the Center for Global Engagement vision: A stellar international experience should encompass and epitomize all the strengths of an excellent university education. Positive international experiences should offer an immersion into a new culture through rigorous academics, dynamic exchange and dialogue with diverse groups, and a broad exposure to new ideas and experiences.

Global Engagement Faculty Development Fund 

The Global Engagement Faculty Development Fund purpose is to make opportunities available for full-time faculty to create and/or share global knowledge by:

  1. Developing global engagement components for a course(s),
  2. Pursuing research/scholarly and creative endeavors, or
  3. Creating opportunities for collaboration with international faculty and students.

Global Impact at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Micro-Grant

The l (IEC) Global Impact at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Micro-Grant, supported by the CGE, provides funding for non-research initiatives that engage with global context(s) and/or perspective(s), provide opportunities, and/or contribute to the internationalization of the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø community. This micro-grant aims to support projects that enhance the student experience by promoting cultural exchange, global awareness, and the integration of international perspectives into campus life, furthering the university’s mission to develop well-rounded global citizens.

Exemplary Global Citizenship Award

The (IEC) Exemplary Global Citizenship Award, sponsored by the CGE, is an annual recognition for faculty and staff who demonstrate exceptional contributions to fostering global understanding and cultural competence among students. Through innovative programs, immersion opportunities, curriculum design, collaboration/partnership, impactful teaching, research, leadership, or student support services, recipients embody the university's mission of global engagement and internationalization via its impact on our students.

Short-term Faculty-Led Study Abroad (FLSA) Site Visit Funds

FLSA program development site visits are funded up to $3,000 and serve as essential preparatory steps, allowing program leaders to familiarize themselves with future program locations and local features. These visits aim to enrich the academic experience of students while also addressing health and safety concerns. By invitation only. Programs that have received approval as the result of the FLSA application process, are automatically invited to submit a proposal.
