Christina Isabelli, Associate Provost for Global Engagement (PhD)

Christina Isabelli, PhD, serves as the Associate Provost for Global Engagement and 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's Senior International Officer (). In this role, she leads internationalization at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, providing leadership for the university’s globalization strategies, and leadership and administration for the Center for Global Engagement personnel and programs, the Offices of International Student & Scholar Services and Study Abroad, and the English Language Center. She works closely with the Dean of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø in Florence, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s academic deans, associate and vice provosts, and 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Global. Dr. Isabelli facilitates and oversees the work of the International Education Council and the International Leadership Committee and leads the university’s effort to cultivate, develop, deliver, and assess global education as a fundamental institutional goal as part of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic identity. Jan Keiser, Sr. Advisor of International Employment & Special Projects

Jan's position transitioned from the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø HR department, where she has worked for the last 5 years, to the CGE. Her position involves leveraging her expertise in immigration compliance to support our internationalization mission. She has 20 years of experience managing and providing visa and immigration services for international students, scholars, and university faculty. The position collaborates with campus units on visa-related aspects of recruitment, hiring and retention of international faculty and staff, and study abroad. In addition:

Responsibilities

  • Identify funding initiatives that align with and support CGE's mission and strategic goals.
  • Monitor partnerships' progress and tracking key performance indicators related to partnership success, such as student/faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and funding.
  • Assist with coordinating and executing international programs, exchanges, and collaborations per the partnership framework.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing MOUs, partnership agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal and administrative teams.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process, aligning partnership outreach with the overall mission and vision of the CGE.

Ann Price, CGE Budget and Personnel Officer

Ann graduated from 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University with a B.A. in History. Before working at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø, she had a 15 year career in banking. She has been with 91³Ô¹ÏÍø since 1999 and has worked at CCASL, for the Interim VP for Mission, and for the Chief Diversity Officer before landing at the Center for Global Engagement.

She lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for one year while attending school and caught the travel bug. Since then she has traveled to Canada, the Caribbean, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Greece and Malta.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the routine administrative and budgetary activities of the Center for Global Engagement
  • Directs the planning and development of operating budgets for the offices in the CGE, in coordination with the University Budget Office, Controller’s Office, and Provost's Office.
  • Oversees all matters in PeopleAdmin and Concur for Global Engagement

Amy Schmidt, CGE Administrative Assistant II

CGE Staff Schmidt

Amy Schmidt is a Spokane native whose parents are both 91³Ô¹ÏÍø graduates. She is a dyed in the wool Zags basketball fan! Amy attended 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Prep and graduated from the University of Portland.

One of the highlights of Amy's life was a year-long study abroad program in Salzburg, Austria through the University of Portland. She was able to travel throughout Europe and gain lifelong friends, and it was a defining time of her life which she believes others should experience if possible.

Amy's background includes experience in education and a variety of positions at Spokane Public Schools, including teaching. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administrative assistance to the whole CGE staff and its operations.
  • Creates a welcoming reception area for all CGE visitors and supervises the CGE student Peer Ambassadors.
