91³Ô¹ÏÍø Core Integration Seminar INDS 432 Why People Hate

This class is being taught this spring to 60 students working with 10 community organizations to provide greater access to the Spokane Hate Report. The class was first offered in 2010.


91³Ô¹ÏÍø ORGL 689 Leadership Strategies to Counter Hate

This class is taught in summers. During the Summer 2021 offering, students will be providing leadership to counter hate through public history research to expand the stories of Spokane marginalized communities that will be used for a fall MOSAIC pilgrimage with Mission and Ministry and take these skills into their own communities for future impact. The class was first offered in 2018.

In response to the February 2021 desecration at Spokane's Temple Beth Shalom, GIHS partnered with Faith Leaders and Leaders of Conscience to create a community statement of support and solidarity through this video reel. 


The Dream Deferred: Discussions on MLK's Legacy in This Moment

91³Ô¹ÏÍø students, staff and faculty were invited to join Ron Large, Inga Laurent, Bernadette Calafell and Kristine Hoover for informal discussion and support at the virtual event organized by the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Institute of Hate Studies on January 18, 2021. 

 

International Day of Peace and Eva Lassman Take Action Against Hate Awards (Virtual)

September 21, 2020. In celebration of the annual international event, the 2020 theme was "Oneness of Humanity & Racial Harmony." Organized with One Peace Many Paths with keynote speaker Ann Dinan from the Peace Leadership Institute and partnering with the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Choir.
