The 2022-23 Report of the President

Dear 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Alumni, Colleagues, Supporters, Parents and Friends:

Each autumn, as the leaves fall and the days give way to chilly evenings, I find myself both excited about the new semester under way and reflecting on all that we have achieved since the last fall began. This year is no exception and as I look back, I cannot help but feel immense gratitude for the generous contributions from our faculty, staff, students, Jesuits, benefactors, alumni, families, and all those who are part of our worldwide 91³Ô¹ÏÍø family. It is because of you that we continue to succeed in such unique and unmatched ways. It is because of you that we are thriving.

Each year, we produce an Annual Report to both offer our gratitude, and to highlight just a few of the many accomplishments over the last academic year. In the interests of sustainability, and ever mindful of being good stewards of our resources, we have elected to make this year’s publication entirely digital. As you read, please make sure to click on included links for additional stories and content that will continue to showcase the tremendous work done in service of our collective mission.

While there is much to be thankful for, we are constantly aware of the challenges faced by many in our world. Despite the difficulties, what keeps me grounded, and most hopeful, is our students. Each semester, we are proud to welcome a new group of talented individuals to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø; and each Spring we celebrate another amazing group of graduates, prepared to make meaningful, positive impacts on the world. We are able to do this important work because we believe in them and their potential, and because of the support they receive, much of which comes from you, our benefactors and supporters.

We recognize how important it is for us to remain rooted in our Catholic, Jesuit mission identity, even as we continuously evolve, responding to challenges in and out of our control, preserving what is working and being open to making tough choices when needed. I hope that this publication provides stories that shed light on our work, inspiring and affirming for you what an exceptional place 91³Ô¹ÏÍø truly is.

Together, we truly are Reaching New Heights!

Sincerely,

Thayne M. McCulloh, D.Phil.
