The 7th Annual Student Leadership Symposium aims to explore emerging questions and completed research, service, or projects occupying students and alumni of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University. The goal is to not only stimulate dialogue and critical reflection from multiple perspectives, but also to highlight the projects and research currently alive within our programs and the greater field of leadership studies.
Paul Mercadante, a private equity investor, is coming from Silicon Valley to speak to the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program and the School of Business (see Paul Mercadante | Sumeru Equity Partners). Inspired by his youth growing up in the foothills of the Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador, Davis Smith created Cotopaxi to be a positive change agent. Relationship with non-profit partners, coupled with the use of recycled, repurposed, and responsibly-sourced materials, have led the company to fight poverty in new and unique ways.Â
Representatives from Amazon will be visiting the SBA on Wednesday, October 10th to discuss opportunities in Accounting for students. There will be open office hours in Jepson 211 between 1:45pm and 3:30pm for all students. The focus is accounting, however the Amazon reps can share information about the culture and other employment opportunities.
