The School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) was again named in the nation’s top 10 percent of engineering undergraduate programs.

The SEAS ranking held steady at #23 in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Colleges issue. For eight of the past nine years, the School has placed in the top 10 percent of programs that do not offer doctorate degrees. This is higher than any other Northwest school.

"I am excited for the opportunity to further develop the strengths of our faculty and staff,” said Jennifer Shepherd, Interim Dean. “We have several new research initiatives underway, such as the Center for Materials Research and the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Research Opportunities in Math, Engineering and Computer Science (GRO-MECS) program. I expect those will further increase the School's profile."
