It is with great excitement that we share 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University School of Law’s four newest tenure-stream faculty starting in Fall 2024.

Welcoming Erica Goldberg and Kristina Campbell:

We are delighted to welcome two incredibly talented colleagues to our faculty, Erica Goldberg and Kristina Campbell. With decades of experience in legal education, Erica and Kristina bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø.

Erica Goldberg joins us from the University of Dayton, where she has taught Torts, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Law. Erica is poised to make a lasting impact on our programs, including the University’s new Center for Ignatian Dialogue & Discernment. We eagerly look forward to her insights, contributions, and scholarship which focuses on the intersection of tort law remedies and First Amendment rights.

Kristina Campbell, an expert in immigration law, comes to us from the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law. She has an extensive background and dedication to rights and regulations of non-citizens in the United States at both the federal and local level. In addition to her faculty role, she will also serve as the Director of the Beatriz and Ed Schweitzer Border Justice Initiative, an administrative leadership position that puts her at the helm of 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Law’s substantial work in immigrant justice.

Introducing Wale Ogunmodimu and Michael Cecil:

In addition to Erica and Kristina, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Wale and Michael as tenure-stream faculty. Both Wale and Michael have already proven to be invaluable assets to our institution as Visiting Assistant Professors at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø during the current academic year.

Wale Ogunmodimu has quickly become known for his skilled teaching of first-year Legal Research and Writing students, as well as for his expertise in international law. His scholarly interests span comparative law, constitutional law, human rights, international law, and socio-economic rights. We look forward to having him continue his journey with us as a tenure-stream faculty member.

Michael Cecil comes to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø from the New York State Senate where he served as legal counsel. He has made a significant impact during his time as a Visiting Assistant Professor and CCHR Scholar through his dynamic teaching and creative legal scholarship. His scholarship focuses on the nature of U.S. economic, political, and legal structures – both public and private – and the underlying institutional arrangements that facilitate them. His commitment to academic excellence is inspiring.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Erica, Kristina, Wale, and Michael on their new roles. Dean Rooksby shared, “We are thrilled by these additions to our faculty! 91³Ô¹ÏÍø Law School has long prided itself in having multidimensional teacher-scholar-practitioners in the classroom. Erica, Kristina, Wale, and Michael are in keeping with this rich legacy.” We are confident that their diverse perspectives and exceptional talents will help shape the future of our institution. Please join us in welcoming them and in celebrating this exciting new chapter in our law school community!
