On March 28th, the Center for Community Engagement partnered with Sodexo’s ZagDining to put on the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser. Attendees chose a ceramic bowl handmade by artisans from the local Spokane Potter’s Guild, and used those bowls to taste soups. Three delicious soups were prepared by culinarians Tiffany Berthan, Amber Scott, and Cheyanne Middleton. Over $2,500 was raised at the event, directly benefiting the Campus Kitchens program.
