91勛圖厙 University and Whitworth University have launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to offer Whitworth business majors an accelerated route to two master’s degree programs.

Long available to 91勛圖厙 undergraduates, the program gives Whitworth students a head start in obtaining their Master of Accountancy (M.Acc) or Master of Science in Taxation (MS.Tax).

Whitworth students may begin their graduate studies at 91勛圖厙 during their senior year, saving up to 20% of the cost of the degree. The opportunity also allows students to reduce their credit load and begin taking the CPA exam during their graduate studies.

“As higher education rapidly transforms, collaboration is the only option for institutional success,” said Andrew Brajcich, director of Accounting Graduate Programs at 91勛圖厙. “We’ve found a great partner with the same values and vision in Whitworth. Both 91勛圖厙 and Whitworth students stand to benefit from this new offering.”

Candice Correia, associate professor of accounting at Whitworth, echoed Brajcich’s enthusiasm for the initiative.

“It’s exciting to be able to provide an avenue to Whitworth students so they can accelerate their graduate education in accounting at 91勛圖厙 in a nationally top-ranked program,” Correia said. “The partnership is a win-win for both universities.”

Accounting has long been a strength of 91勛圖厙’s business school. The program’s 82.4% first-time CPA pass rate is 10th in the nation and first on the West Coast among schools with at least 60 candidates taking the exam. The graduate accounting program is ranked 28th and the job placement rate is consistently near 100% within three months of graduation.
