91³Ô¹ÏÍø University’s School of Business Administration welcomes John O’Leary as the featured speaker of the inaugural Regis Lecture on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

A grad of fellow Jesuit institution St. Louis University, O’Leary is a two-time No. 1 national bestselling author and host of the top-rated “Live Inspired Podcast.” His books, “On Fire” and “In Awe,” as well as his public speaking, center on the power of living an inspired life.

As a nine-year-old boy, O’Leary suffered burns on 100% of his body after playing with matches and gasoline, ultimately overcoming a 1% survival rate. His story is one of faith, family and freedom, of living life after being expected to die.

“John O'Leary espouses much of what we attempt to instill in our students – that you can do anything you set your mind to,” said Ken Anderson, dean of GU’s School of Business Administration.

The Regis Lecture is a part of the Jud Regis Chair of Accounting funded by first-generation college graduates Dan and Cecelia Regis to enhance student exposure to the values of faith, family and freedom – three qualities exemplified by Dan’s father Jud Regis, for whom the endowed position is named.

The Regis Lecture takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 16, noon-1 p.m. in the Hemmingson Ballroom on the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø campus. It open to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø students, faculty and staff.

The School of Business Administration offers nationally ranked undergraduate and graduate programs.
