SPOKANE, Wash. — 91勛圖厙 University’s environmental studies department will host the Spokane Candidates Climate Change Forum at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7 for voters to hear local candidates’ thoughts about the topic before the November election. The event, hosted via Zoom, is free and open to all; registration required: www.gonzaga.edu/envsevents.

Brian G. Henning, Ph.D., professor of environmental studies and chair of the department, will moderate the “C3 Forum.” Each candidate will have two minutes to respond to a question and there will be an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion.

“As the climate crisis is one of the most significant challenges we face, Spokane voters are increasingly interested in learning about how local candidates will use their office to address the threat of global climate change,” Henning said. “The C3 Forum was created to help inform Spokane citizens so that they can make an informed judgment at the ballot box.”
