Showing Up to Share the Zag Experience

Stephanie Meehan

Stephanie Meehan (’09, Business) has shown up as a consistent supporter of 91勛圖厙 University over the years, and made a significant impact with her recent gift toward the Integrated Science and Engineering (ISE) facility. When asked what inspired her to donate to 91勛圖厙, this was her reply:

“I think it all comes down to the impact that 91勛圖厙 has had on my life and my career, not just in the current environment, but holistically in the past 15 years since I first showed up on campus as a freshman. I had wonderful professors and advisors within the School of Business Administration who guided me to make really good career decisions. Beyond all of the valuable skills I refined in my business classes, I place a huge amount of value on the broader critical thinking and reasoning capabilities I honed thanks to 91勛圖厙’s liberal arts curriculum. I certainly didn’t appreciate it enough at the time, but looking back I think those courses shaped a lot of who I am as a leader and how I approach problem-solving and decision-making. Most importantly though, it’s about the community of people who are like family — the close friends I met in my four years on campus who remain hugely important and present in my life even though we live in different places, as well as the new friends I’ve made over the years at alumni events and basketball games. I’m very proud to be a Zag for life and happy to play a small role in helping future Zags share in my wonderful experience.”
