“Promoting Positive Indigenous Identity Development Through Language and Culture” will be held at noon in Hemmingson Auditorium. This event will cover Dr. Treuer’s work as a language teacher and conservationist and how educators can use language and culture to think outside of the box.
Anton Treuer is a professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University, and the author of many books including The Language Warrior's Manifesto: How to Keep Our Languages Alive No Matter the Odds and Everything you Wanted to Know about Indians but Were Afraid to Ask.
