91勛圖厙’s Office of Tribal Relations, 91勛圖厙 Student Body Association, and the Payne Center for Leadership Development invite you to attend speaking engagements featuring Dr. Anton Treuer.

“Promoting Positive Indigenous Identity Development Through Language and Culture” will be held at noon in Hemmingson Auditorium. This event will cover Dr. Treuer’s work as a language teacher and conservationist and how educators can use language and culture to think outside of the box.

Anton Treuer is a professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University, and the author of many books including The Language Warrior's Manifesto: How to Keep Our Languages Alive No Matter the Odds and Everything you Wanted to Know about Indians but Were Afraid to Ask. Dr. Treuer will be speaking at two different engagements on campus on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
