I have been working at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University in the Department of Teacher Education as a lecturer for the last 7 years. In 2018, I received a tenure-track faculty position. I desire to continue working to prepare teachers to be transformative educational leaders in K-12 schools and communities. I hope to share my expertise in research-based pedagogies in teacher education, which support preservice teachers in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to teach in ways that provide access and equity to rigorous learning for all students. I always wanted to be a teacher. My family would attest to this as I would often play school, making my younger siblings be my students. I fulfilled my dream and taught in K–12 schools for 28 years, before coming to 91³Ô¹ÏÍø! I now have the great blessing of supporting future professionals fulfill their goal of teaching in K–12 classrooms.
