I graduated from GU in 2013. I thought I had my life mapped out. My initial plan was to save money and move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. After a year of serving in a BBQ restaurant in San Francisco and being unstimulated by mindless acting jobs, I was propositioned by a friend to move to Portland to work on our own creative short films. I hesitantly decided it was a good idea and I am absolutely loving it back here in the Northwest. I manage a restaurant in Portland and now live with fellow 91³Ô¹ÏÍø alums Taylor Pedroza ('13) and Jeff Rutherford ('14). We are currently working on a series and any new idea that pops into our heads.
" I'm outrageously appreciative of the knowledge I gained through the innumerable amazing professors at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. Without a doubt, I think about at least one of them every day."
My psychology degree has definitely prepared me for life as a human being in a ridiculous world. Sometimes I'd like to turn off my brain and forget about the things I've learned for a day so that I'm not so damn critical and curious about myself and others. All the same, I'm outrageously appreciative of the knowledge I gained through the innumerable amazing professors at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. Without a doubt, I think about at least one of them every day. Specifically in the psych department I have to thank Dr. Bartlett, Dr. Bodamer and Dr. Worsham for the world and new ways of thinking of which they've made me aware. The friends and the knowledge I have after four years at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø have made me all the better as a person.
